  13. Money is the least valuable thing on this earth, your children will always be the most valuable. (she told me this while waiting in a courtroom trying to leave my abusive and very wealthy father. she risked her life to keep me and my sister safe) I love you momma <3 (:

    Take all the advice people give you with a thank you and a smile, and read all the books you can but only do what you are capable of....you are not a SuperMom...no one is.


    oh and my mom always said, "Never talk to weirdos".

  22. My mother has told me many things and all of them i hold them close to heart: "take everything you hear with a grain of salt," "be aware, be courteous," "it's all a conspiracy," and "please don't make me a grandma, yet."

  25. As a new momma i want to teach my daughter that life is beautiful now matter what hardships it might bring. It's just part of life and we learn a great deal from them.

  33. My mom has a great sense of humor, so she "amended" my grandmother's (her mom's) advice, "You can't eat looks on a plate" to quip, "but it sure helps when the person eating opposite you is a feast for the eyes."

    Her more serious advice was simply this: "Be strong; the only person you can rely on is yourself."

  57. My mother has always encouraged me to show kindness to others even when they do not show kindness towards you. She is one of the kindest and warm-hearted people I know - a fine example.
