My most memorable birthday would have to be my 21st birthday.. It just so happened to be the same day as LSU's first home football game (2007, my senior year!). We trampled Virginia Tech and my entire family was in town for tailgating. I met so many fun people from Virginia who helped make my birthday SO INCREDIBLY FUN. It was definitely one for the books.

My favorite birthday memory was when my big sister (wedding planner) through me a mermaid themed 16th birthday. I even had a two tone scaley looking flapper dress and seafood treats. All the gifts I got were mermaid themed. She reminded me it's okay to be a kid at a time when I wanted to grow up so quickly. It was so fun!

My favorite birthday memory was when I was 5 or so. My little couson was at my birthday party, and my mom had made "dirt cake". I was very excited about it and was telling her about how it had dirt and worms (oreos and gummy worms). When my mom brought out the "cake", she crossed her arms with a scowl on her face, and refused to eat it! My mom thankfully captured a photo of her expression. Too cute!

My favorite birthday memory was this past birthday! I had moved 600 miles away, but came home for my birthday and a good friend had set up a birthday scavenger hunt for me. Places included my favorite restuarants and once I got there, my favorite people were there to hang out with me! They had the next clue, and so on and so on! The day was full of my favorite people, and ended with a pedicure and a party with all of them together in one place! After being away for a year, it was the best birthday gift anyone could have given me!

When I was little my mom would throw me 'potion parties' and would set up a table with shaving cream and gel and foamy soup and cups to mix it in. But we never mixed anything in the cups, only had a huge shaving cream fight in my yard and then ran through the sprinkler (which was freezing in April).
Everyone agreed my birthdays were the best!

Seeing that this is my birthday week- this is perfect! I turn 24 on Sunday! whoot!

My favorite birthday moment was when i turned 16. I begged the parentals to let me go sky diving. Yea, that was a no go. They weren't down for me hurling my body at the earth. So we settled. We went to the beach. While awesome, far less adventurous than i was hoping for. Until that is, my mom handed me a little box. I opened it to find a picture of a paper that said, "look up".

What did i see? A plane flying across the sky with an advertisement for parasailing.

My parentals chartered a parasailing boat for the day... a mighty fine compromise and AWESOME surprise if you ask me!

My Favorite B'day moment.

I was born on a January 3rd in a city where is sunny all year round. Because of the springy weather, flowers are around everywhere you go at anytime of the year.

My great aunt, also my caregiver back in the day, had a garden that used to bear roses for each of my b-days. Each year, until my 9th b-day, I would wake up to a pink, white or yellow rose beside my bed. Because of violence matters in my country, I had to leave and come to Canada. Each year, even though my b-day is on winter time, I remember how Mother Nature would celebrate my b-day by awarding me a beautiful rose. This memory always brightens up my b-days.

My favorite birthday memory was my 16th. My parents rented the local skating rink and everyone at school kept asking me if I was going to go skating that night. The skating rink was for sale, so my parents told me it was closed, but they were thinking of co-owning it with someone else so they were going to go look at it that night. I went with them and SURPRISE!!! They had rented the skating rink just for my birthday. It was such a blast :)

I have soo many great memories of my birthday. Although, the best ones were when I was younger. It was tradition at home, and it still is, that in the morning we wake up the birthday boy or girl with the song called "Las Mañanitas"--a mexican birthday ballad.
I remember a specific birthday when I was young when I woke up to the ballad Las Mañanitas. My mom, my dad, my sister, and brother and came around my bed singing to me and holding presents. And my mom held out a cute cupcake with a candle for me to blow. :)
Those are the best moments that I can recall of not just my birthday, but of life. :)

My favourite birthday memory would probably have to be my 16th birthday. I had been going through a rough time and was expecting a simple birthday at home when my family told me to get in the car, but wouldn't tell me why. We drove for a while and when we finally reached our destination, it turned out that they had planned a hot air balloon ride for me! It was so touching and one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I've always wanted to fly, so for my 16th birthday, my family made sure I did.

My favorite birthday memory is from a couple of years ago. My husband travels for work and sadly was going to miss my birthday as it was during the week. A couple of friends took me out to eat and for drinks that evening to celebrate. While we were sitting out on the patio of the restaurant, a familiar voice whispered in my ear, "Happy Birthday." My sweet husband caught a flight home early and totally surprised me! It was the best!

My favourite birthday memory is when I was 10 and I wanted a new bike so much. My parents explained to me how short on money they were that year (which they were) and even though they wanted to get me a bike they wouldn't be able to. I understood and was ok with that. But to my surprise, I woke up on my birthday to find a brand new beautiful pink and purple mountain bike in my living room!!! That was a great surprise. This year on my 30th, I'd been missing my family so much as I live quite far, and they surprised me again by showing up at my door the day before my 30th!

Back in 2006 on June 30th was my 26th birthday. I remember everything about that day because it was just special and made me realize how much my family and friends loved me. I had woke up to go to the tanning bed and when I came home my grandparents and cousins were all at the house. They had decorated, made me a cake and bought one, had hats the works. And LOTS of gifts. My grandpa had took a fork and dipped right in the center of the cake it was so funny and we got this on camera. He died right after that so it was really a special day and one reason I always remember it. My grandparents raised me.

That evening about 12 of my girlfriends took me out to eat. That day was just perfect not bc of the gifts but bc of the love. I will never forget that special day.

My favorite birthday would be my 21st birthday back in college. I didn't have many girl friends when I was in campus, but I hangout with a bunch of boys of my grade from the same major that I took that had exactly the same hobby as I have - photography - and I would come by to their boarding house almost everyday to do some work with them or just fooling around.
One time I got so busy that I didn't spend much time with them for being involved on this sport event on campus. That day one the boys picked me up at campus and took me to their boarding house. After almost an hour long I got totally ignored by them, another one of them came to me and totally scolded me from being so busy that I didn't hangout with them again...and just as I was trying to apologize the others came by behind me and sprayed me with a lot of water while all laughing and sang a "Happy Birthday" song for me while one of them handed me a cake. I cried right after because I totally thought they were angry at me, but all the scolding turned out to be a surprise birthday gift for me. I miss them a lot, they are all like brothers to me and we are still close even after 6 years.

My favorite birthday memory must be from last year...i was really down and felt like i was falling and that i couldn't control things anymore but my friends from all around the world made me feel special and loved with all their messages/mail/photos/videos, i was overwhelmed.. and i could feel the love.

this year I decided not to spend one moment in the house, so I was out all day, trying new places, eating yum stuff and meeting all my friends. it was awesome!

My best birthday memory was when I was 6, and we had just moved here from Poland. I didn't know the language and I was so lonely. We were so poor that my X-mas and birthday presents were combined into one. And I woke up one night terrified because on the dresser was this unfamiliar, scary shape. I screamed but soon realized that it was just a large purple teddy bear. This was my gift. That memory stands out because that bear spent the next 10 years with me in my bed.

I remember a birthday, probably around 8 or 10 years old, when I received a Little Kiddles doll from my parents. All the rage back in the late sixties and early seventies. :)

My husband and I share the same birthday! (one year age difference) My favorite birthday memories are those from getting to share my day with him each year. We get to go get our free birthday dinner together, and no one believes it until we show them our ID's!

My fave birthday memory is waking up with a kiss from my boyfriend and an elaborate breakfast in bed!
