I seem to be cursed when it comes to birthdays (dramatic I know!), so my dream birthday would be a day when nothing crazy happened, haha. Also, it wouldn't hurt if the day consisted of me and my husband staying in an historic hotel some where close to cozy a restaurant.

A picnic with my friends in early autumn, when the ground is covered in yellow leaves...so awesome! It would include good music, good food, taking (lots and lots of) photos, a giant blanket and talking about anything that makes us happy.

My dream birthday would be to go to New York City with my family. We would see a show on Broadway and go to visit some historic sites (including the Marx Brothers' homestead). We go to a great restaurant and eat cake. Then we'd get bundled up, drink some hot coco, and get a good spot in Times Square so we have a great view of the ball dropping! We'd also wear those silly hats and throw lots of confetti! :-)
Dream birthday changes every year. Last year I had a big 80s themed party to celebrate my 30th but this year it would be a weekend away somewhere quiet and beautiful with my husband... and a spa.
A quiet weekend alone with my husband in a cabin in the woods. Did I mention quiet? And alone? :-)

Ooh, my dream birthday would be a weekend alone with the man of my dreams (who also happens to be my hubby :P) somewhere far, far away! Last year I had my dream birthday for my 40th! My amazing husband threw me a huge, classy party. He rented out the Pearl Studio here in San Antonio and had our favorite musician play (Terri Hendrix accompanied by Lloyd Maines). We had an open bar, wonderful finger foods, and tons of my friends. It was kinda the big wedding we didn't have 15 years earlier. Don't get me wrong, we had a wonderful wedding, it was just on a much, much smaller budget. I requested no gifts, but if people wanted to do something, to make a donation to the Alzheimer's Association in honor of my dad or to the camp for children with special needs where my husband and I met. I was so touched by how many friends made donations to celebrate my birthday. That is my dream birthday come true!

My dream birthday celebration would be an outdoor cookout at sunset with a bluegrass band playing in an old barn, lots of games for everyone to enjoy and fireworks to end the night!
My dream birthday would be a trip in the TARDIS with the Doctor to Victorian England, where I would hang out with Oscar Wilde for the day and maybe get to meet Victoria herself.
My dream birthday celebration would be to go to a barn and have it decorated beautifully with dim lights. There would be delicate and delicious food, as well as a dancing floor where I could dance the night away with my love. In different corners of the room would be beautiful drops so that the guests could have photo-shoots and keep the pictures for memories. At the end, a horse would ride the guests back to their cars. Isn't it lovely?
My Perfect Bday celebration would be getting up without the alarm, making a big breakfast that takes all morning, curling up with my man talking and reading all afternoon and then having a ton of people over for a huge meal with the fire burning in the background and conversation, games and wine flowing all night. Wake up to discover that I'm in an dark, unfamiliar, confined space. I would start hyperventilating, and just before the full onset of claustrophobia, my friends open up the box they've been transporting me in.

"We drugged you for a few days, so you'd wake up on time."
"Woh. Best surprise ever, you guys are the best!"
Then we would drink tequilas on the beach for the rest of the day. Maybe accompanied by a few stray dogs and a mariachi band.
Hmmmm.... I would have to say going to the beach or to Disney World. I would be able to take a best friend and be able to eat and do whatever I wanted. :D

Well, my 21st birthday is coming up in October. If I had my way, I would grab my boyfriend and my camera and head to Paris. No suitcase is needed because we will spend the day in Paris shopping in various vintage and antique stores. Then we will eat at the most delicate and delicious places. At the end of the night we will stroll through the streets of Paris and hopefully time travel to the 1920's and meet all of my favorite famous artists.

1. All the my favorite minds out there. Emma Watson, Rachel McAdams, Matt Damon; people that have used their success to make a difference in the world. I don't like it when successful people just hoard money :( Seems a bit pointless.
2. I'd loooove to cook for the entire party. I'm an amateur chef and I'd love to hear what people think of my food (I know it would be my birthday but still!)
3. I'd love to be wearing a dress by Christopher Kane. His designs are absolutely amazing.
