Love this! I'm currently planning my wedding for June and our wedding color is a dark pink (my fiance actually loved the color and wanted to pick it as much as I did!) These ideas are great and may wind up being very useful to me!
Love love love ombre for a wedding. In fact, posted a blog a few months ago about this...great minds think alike! ;) http://www.perennialweddings.com/style/ombre-everywhere
The great thing about this is that the colors can be redone. Imagine a fall wedding with bright green and dark purple, or a spring wedding with daffodil yellow and white. The theme here is all about gradation of color. So the bride and groom can agree on a color and make it work no matter what. As a pastry chef, I love the Cake! its simple and elegant and still romantic. Thats a great way to do buttercream too, smooth and flawless but with some texture.
We did an ombre inspired wedding shoot for Valentine's Day with a cake that looked almost exactly like this one! http://www.liveviewstudios.com/wedding-couple-photography/lovestruck-a-valentines-inspired-wedding/

This could not be more perfect. I love the colors, but I feel like most grooms would object to the color being pink.

I agree with B.Weber. How many guys are actually willing to go with pink? Its their day too!
These are super adorable though!

I looove the idea of having the bridesmaid's dresses all different styles. Keeping this idea in the memory bank!

That's my cake! I showed the pastry chef that exact picture and it will be at my wedding in two months. So beautiful.
