«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 266 of 266The place that I would love to visit just happens to be the place I GET to visit at the end of December! :) I am going to Paris {for my 30th bday}! :) I love Train Stop 31. I think its adorable, classy, elegant, and oh-so chic! I would definitely wear this there {or anywhere for that matter}!
I would wear Train Stop 17's outfit to Paris in the fall. I'd be eating brunch outside at a dainty little cafe & enjoy the crisp autumn air
Stop 13 and I could be lifelong friends. Cozy enough to wear in cold weather and the pieces are versatile enough to wear separately. I live in Scotland where it is always sweater weather, so I would love to wear this outfit out for a day of thrifting in the west end, followed by a dinner at an intimate tapas restaurant with my husband.
I would wear Train Stop 3 Look (http://www.shopruche.com/shop-wanderlust-train-stop-3-c-724_727.html?utm_source=lookbook_ruche&utm_medium=lookbook&utm_content=Wanderlust&utm_campaign=lookbook_shop) to Paris in the springtime. I'd wear it while going to the top of the Eiffel Tower!
I love trainstop 9. I would wear it to go out on a date and stroll around the English countryside, then stop in a small town for a bit of tea before heading off to meet up with an old friend professor from Oxford. We would discuss old literature and modern politics over a steaming mug of toddy, before I hailed a cab home and recieved a call from the englishman about a second date the next day, in London.
I love Train Stop #4! I think I'd be on a trip to Europe for a teaching exchange program. As a woman researcher and Ph.D., I hope to make my mark on the scientific world!
Train stop 22 is just my cup of tea, and perfect to wear to England to visit my friend at the University of Southampton studying for her Masters in Medieval and Renaissance Studies!
I'm in LOVE with the Train Stop 17 look. If I owned this outfit, and had the means to travel, I would really like to visit my friend Caitlin in San Francisco! I've heard loads of great things about the city and I haven't seen her in two years (serious sad face), so I think it would be an amazing outfit for an amazing trip. :)
I would wear Train Stop 17 and feel beautiful. My hair's a bit shorter though, but the flower would make me feel very feminine. I would wear it to my jazz vocal course, and feel like a diva. No more blues with those burgundy pants.

I would wear Train Stop 13 to Peru to explore the Inca Trail! I'd watch the sun come up while holding my boyfriend's hand and it would surely be one of the most incredible feelings.
I choose Train Spot 10! I adore the pocket dress and green mary jane wedges! They are perfect. As my train is arriving in Paris on a warm Autumn day, I am wearing this outfit, excited to explore this amazing city with my beau. We'll arrive in the afternoon, perfect time for tea and macarons so we'll head to Laduree at Les Champs Elysees. After, we'll go to the "Wall of I Love You's" and take cheesy photos. We'll roam around Montmartre for the rest of the day and have a fondue dinner, ending the night with martinis at a local bar.
I'd wear train stop 9 as I traveled across the USA. I've graduated from college in 2010, and now have friends located literally across the country. I'd love to go visit all of them, and the outfits that could be created from TS9 are endless!
Train Stop 17:
I would wear this arrangement, paired with my Verna Bylar Oxford heels, as I step off the train and onto the crisply autumn streets of Barcelona. The elegance and modesty of this outfit is perfectly balanced for sightseeing; the rose in my hair sweetly appropriate for my tour through Antoni Gaudi's Sagrada Familia. After I retire from an afternoon of tourism with a cup of spiced hot chocolate and churros from a local cafe, I practice my spanish--with the appropriate Barcelona dialect--with a charming, young student sitting at the table next to me. Copper blades of light shine through the cafe's shutters. As day effortlessly turns to twilight, the street lights and stars blending together, I walk the cobble stone paths with the Barcelona boy, breathing in the rich spices and coolness of autumn.
I would choose Train Stop 29. I love the colors and the textures in the dress and cardigan. It gives just the right amount of girly elegance that embodies me. Fall is my favorite time of year and Maine has the most beautiful leaves right now. So I can just imagine myself strolling down a small town street drinking coffee as I meander in and out of the local shops. Nobody knows it but I'm on a mission to find the perfect one of a kind piece to take home with me to remember this perfect trip.
Train Stop 10 has to be my favourite. To me, I would love to be wandering the streets of Paris or sitting at a little french cafe sipping a cup of tea in this little number.
I would wear train stop 32, the colors are so rich and perfect for fall. I would wear this outfit to Paris, roam around the streets, and eat some yummy French food!
I love train stop number 29! I love the yellow! I love everything about it. I would wear this to the next ballet performance I attend.
When I was younger, I visited a town in England called Milton Keynes. The houses had thatched roofs and the streets were cobblestone. Being there felt like going back in time. It was the perfect picture of an English country side town. We have nothing like that in upstate New York. I would wear Train Stop 22, to walk down those cobblestone streets and soak up the beautiful scenery.
I would choose train stop no 32, in which I would go on a romantic trip to Paris with my BF :)

Train stop # 24 would be a fabulous outfit for a trip back to the 20s. I’d love it to take me to Paris, where I could hobnob with the members of the Lost Generation, eat macarons and mille-feuilles all day long, listen to beautiful accordion music or simply enjoy a late afternoon walk by the Seine.
I would love to step off the train and enter the streets of London in the "Train Stop 13" outfit. On a crisp fall day, when there is brief chill in the air this would keep me warm and stylish while I explored one of the most fashionable cities in the world!

After sneaking away from my relatives house, where I reside for the summer, I hop on a train wearing train stop 11. I cover my face with my scarf in hopes no one will recognize me, I've been in the area a few months, after all. Tonight is my last night in Spain and I sneak away in the middle of the night to see my lover one last time. I find an empty compartment and shut the door, quickly changing into train stop 35. When I set off the train, he is waiting there to whisk me away. We spend the night dancing and enjoying one anothers company for the last time...
i'm currently obsessed with the tv show "downton abbey" so i'd take a time-traveling train back to edwardian era britain wearing train stop 4. the coat is to die for!
Train stop 26 -- Meeting in Italy, meeting a person I do not yet know, and experiencing the marvels I've only read about in books and hope to one day see.
I'm in love with Train stop 33. I could see myself going to this cute little french restaurant with my boyfriend.
Train Stop #10 heading to Quebec city, QC! Skipping along and visiting all of the wonderful shops, small cafes, and delicious bakeries!!
Definitely train stop 11! Wear it walking through streets in Lisbon, Portugal
Train Stop 3 is my obvious choice. The lela magenta cloche hat reminds me of something a flapper would wear… Who wouldn't want to resemble the women of greatest fashion movement in the last century? The dress is stunning also, but nothing draws me in quite like the the model's eyes.
Train Stop 3: I would wear it while walking down a fog-shrouded street in Paris on my way to a clandestine visit with a private detective. Think film noir: the slanted hazy streetlight angling through blinds to stripe my face, eyes hidden in the shadow of a tilted hat, one single tear trailing down my cheek as I tell the detective of my woes. He stands quickly, throws aside his trench coat and fedora, and strides across the room to embrace the sad woman in the stunning dress standing in his office.
I would choose train stop 7. It's smart looking yet fun, gives you the feeling of sensible adventure. I would wear it for a day spent in Oxford, England. The morning would include a coffee and my camera walking around the beautiful university and city capturing the history on film. Followed by lunch from a sandwich shop which I could enjoy outside in the fall weather at the monument. Then an afternoon of exploring the shops.
My choice would be train stop 18! I've been seeing plaid dresses all around and have fallen in love. As for where I would go? I would love to ride a train through the rocky mountains and Canada....I hear it is beautiful country
I would choose Train Stop 20. It would be worn to attend a mommy blogger conference.
My jeans and sweatshirts would be left behind folded on my bed to be worn when I returned.
I walk into the conference room feeling comfortable, but so elegant in this wonderful outfit. The frumpy mama look would have been cast aside if only for one day.
I would wear Train Stop 26 to a Christmas party first ... and then I'd find a way to wear it every day after that for forever! That dress is not something I'd normally pick, but I love it!
I'm leaving to Paris with train stop 10! oh la la!
Being Canadian - a domestic trip would be lovely in the fall, and Train Stop #20 would be my choice for the voyage! Something comfortable for the train ride but also stylish enough to hit the boutiques and cafes of beautiful Montreal!
I love train stop 31. Such a beautiful and romantic outfit for riding the train to Paris. We would explore, shop, eat macaroons, and check out the city, followed by a picnic on the lawn in front of the effiel tower. There we would eat bread, cheese and have wine and gaze into each others eyes.
I would take off for the hills that are alive with music in the Sound of Music in train station outfit #4. I would sing and dance around the mountains of Austria and pick Edelweiss. I have always wanted to visit Austria and Germany to visit the lands of my ancestors...and the Train Stop 4 is just the one to do it in. :)
Train Stop 34 all the way to Vienna, Ćsterreich! <3
After purchasing a velvety box of chocolates from the Demel Chocolatier, your feet just wander the pristine streets for a new adventure. Maybe you listen to the angelic voices of the Vienna Boys' Choir, tour Mozart's home, or stop in a cafe for a cappuccino with sprinkles. No matter what, the day must end with a long and endearing view of Gustav Klimt's "The Kiss."
My favorite is Train Stop 14. I would wear it to my home-state of Vermont; I haven't been able to visit there since I moved down to Florida two years ago, and I constantly miss being in New England. One of the things that I have yet to retrieve from my mother's house is my beautiful winter coat.
I'd wear train stop #20 on my way to Berne, Switzerland. My colorful knit dress and cozy cardigan would be perfect against the blue backdrop of the Alps. I'd shop along the promenade, taste some divine chocolate and cheese, and follow the River Aare till my wanderlust is quenched.
I adore train stop 9. Even though its only 2.5 hours away I would wear it to visit my sister and 6 month old nephew in Columbus. I vision window shopping and carrot cake.
I have four favorites but, I am going to have to choose Train Stop 22 and I would wear it on a day in France. In the day I would go back to Versailles and walk the gardens that I did not get an opportunity to walk. I would then take the train and then the Metro to Le Louvre and see on the paintings that I did not get to see upon my last visit. I would then try the french cuisine that I did not get to have and at the end of the night I watch the dancing lights upon the Eiffel Tower with my friends and marvel at how fortunate I am to be in a place that I love with the people that I love.
I would wear Train Stop outfit #29 on my trip to a beautiful old hotel located near the Greenbrier National Forest in West Virginia. The trip would take me through luscious green forests and past flowing rivers. Upon arrival, I would take a step back in time and be perfectly dressed for the occasion. From the elegant Marliene Crushed Velvet Cardigan to the Warbler Details Necklace, I would be prim and proper for my afternoon tea. The Loxley Mary Jane Wedges would be appropriate for trekking around the property while still being glamorous and the Esperanza Rising Ruffle Dress would make me feel just like Scarlett O'Hara herself from Gone with the Wind.
I love love train stop # 8 I would go anywhere in this outfit it's so chic for perhaps coffee with a girlfriend, going to an art show, or just to a live show with some of your gal pals.
I'll take Outfit 31 to Prague with me - those wedges! That poncho! To. Die. For!!!
- Lindsay
If I could go to anywhere in the world I would go to the Eiffel Tower in Paris and totally wear Train Stop 22. The whole outfit. I LOVE it!!!
Trainstop 29 reminds me of the sweet little frock I wore on my honeymoon trip. This sunny yellow dress is definitely a must for me as my husband and I are planning to trace our original trip (now 20 years later.)
I would get Train Stop 8 and I would take the train from Florence and travel along Italy to make my way to the Amalfi Coast. I'd stay in Ravello and kayak, read and hike for weeks... maybe even months. (sigh)
I'd wear Train Stop 20 to this marvelous local pizza and wine bar with my husband on a date, followed by seeing a show at one of the theatres in town, then drinks at our local bar (where they know our names AND drinks) with our friends in the cast and crew of the show we just saw.
I heart Train Stop #31. It is the perfect outfit to stroll through the Tuscany in Italy for some wine tasting during this time of the year. I would be so cozy wrapped around a cape. That image is a picture perfect!
I would wear Train Stop #9 on a train ride to visit family throughout Uruguay. I would get off at the first train stop and share a Mate and bread with some Gauchos, we compare boots! Then I would hop back on the train and stop in the city for a visit with my cousins, an amazing lunch and some great shopping. Next I'm off to visit my great aunts in their small vineyard where the weather is just perfect for my layered outfit and we talk until the sun sets. Once back on the train I take my journal and my instapix out of my amazing Ingalls bag and relive the amazing day I have just had!!
Once back in South Florida, I can wear my outfit in so many ways throughout fall because it never gets too cold and I can remember the journey that Ruche inspired!
Thanks,
Rosanna
I love stop #5! And if I could go anywhere this fall it would be Paris. Paris in the fall... doesn't it sound so dreamy?
If I could go anywhere in the world it'd the the Maldives. Before rising water levels swallow this beautiful country, I'd love a chance to see it, in all it's glamour. Train Stop 26 would be my outfit of choice, something about the elegance of the flowing fabric reminds me of sun-kissed waves. Besides, you have to admit, it would look gorgeous as a beach dress next to the clear, aquamarine waters.
Oh, I think Train Stop #4 is magnificently elegant and simple... a lovely throwback to classically feminine travel coats with subtle, striking accessories! The gentry truffle coat can be dressed up or down, and for this reason I'd happily bring it along for ALL my dreamy travel adventures. But I think it'll be perfect for my upcoming trip to visit with friends in Brooklyn (which WILL, incidentally, partially include travel by train). Autumn in New York – what could be better? :)
i would choose train stop outfit number 10 and i would go to LA, because i've always wanted to go there. Since i live really close to NYC and go there every other day, somewhere with warm weather for a change would be great. I am amazed by it and could only imagine the great experience i would have if i could go to LA.
Eeek! What a lovely giveaway - and lookbook! :) Train Stop #5 is my very favorite, so my fingers are crossed!

I would wear the Trainstop 9 outfit with the brookdale boots! My fiance and I would be traveling through Germany for our honeymoon and getting of at the trainstops trying to practice our Deutsch while enjoying the European landscapes and old villages. This outfit would be comfortable enough to be traveling between villages and spending some one on one time with my new husband in an amazing new country!
I would totally jump off on Stop number one. I would take my things to denmark, use the warm colors of this outfit to fit right in!!
Train Stop 3, a shotgun wedding, an extraordinary honeymoon. My gent and I would take the trolley downtown to sign our marriage license at the Rockwelleqsue town hall. Might not be a proper wedding, but it'd be the one that suits us best, with the pair of us always on the go, living out of suitcases. Immediately after, we'd be on our way - our honeymoon. By this time tomorrow, we could be anywhere - the hat wants to listen to smoky-voiced singers in Harlem jazz clubs; the dress says strolling along the banks of the Seine, bouquinstes and fine wine; the shoes want to dance along the cobblestone shopping streets in Milan. We settle into our journey, hand in hand. Next stop - everywhere.

This is the outfit I'd choose:
http://www.shopruche.com/shop-wanderlust-train-stop-9-c-724_733.html
I love how cozy and quaint it looks. My best friend and I live pretty far apart so I think I'd wear this if I'd took the train to see him.
It's funny, sometimes when I take the train, I'll tell him which cabin number I'm in so he can get on and we can have 30 seconds of awkwardly giggling when we see each other from across the cabin. We end up just sitting on the train and watching things speed by. It's probably one of the most relaxing things I've done. I could imagine myself wearing an outfit like this one while drifting off on the train.
:) Thank you for holding this giveaway.

I would definitely wear Train Stop 17 for a weekend trip from Seattle to Oregon. I'd hop on the train with friends to spend a few days enjoying the changing leaves and cool temperatures of Autumn in the Pacific Northwest. The outfit seems perfect for evening strolls to art galleries and coffee shops, sipping warm drinks and enjoying the nightlife. I especially love the colors of this outfit, they express the absolute essence of Fall to me.
Train Stop 9 is what I would want to wear to hop on a plane to see my best friend in China, who I haven't seen in a long time. I would put get my passport (that expires this year) and a good book in the purse and be happy to be on my way. The infinity scarf reminds me of her and the warmth she exudes and how it never expires. How I would LOVE to give it to her in person. How I miss Ali!
Once, as a little girl, I asked my mother where she thought I'd meet the man I'd marry. She closed her eyes to dream for a moment, and said "on a train". It's something that has lingered in the back of my mind since then, though I don't get to ride the rails as often as my heart wishes.
On this unseasonably still October night I imagine myself tucking a chill-blushed cheek into the lace collar of my Margaret Steen coat for shelter against a keen Scottish Highland wind as I board a sleeper train to London. I am greeted warmly with a glass of mulled wine and a tip of the hat from the conductor, who points up at the northern lights dancing overhead. After a day of sightseeing and shopping at Harrod's, the Orient Express whisks me like a shooting star to Paris and a hot air balloon that carries me high as the birds above the autumn splendor of the city and countryside gardens, where all colors fold into one like an impressionist painting. The journey ends at stop 34. The doors open to reveal Venice, half-drowned in an early Acqua Alta. My teal tights seem a sartorial tribute to the rising Lagoon waves that wash over the railway platform. The umber and red of my dress and coat recall the shadowplay of dusky canals and sun-bright terracotta rooftops, now ghosts in the fog. With excitement and trepidation, I begin to step down when behind me a man's voice whispers in my ear: "Mi scusi, signorina, but it would be a shame to ruin such fine shoes! Let me help you cross the puddle." "Venice is a very great puddle," I laugh. "I know," he smiles. Before I can protest further, I am swept off my Thierry oxford heels.
Train Stop 3
I sit at the table, ankles crossed, sipping tea at the Cafe des Deux Moulins—the famous Paris cafe where Amelie was filmed. The art deco interior is even more lovely in person, and my casual, yet sophisticated dress matches the decor and atmosphere. I feel as charming as Amelie herself in my cute heels and quirky hat. Fashion isn't just about looking good—it's about feeling outwardly tune with your mood, and it's so much better when the setting matches too.
Thanks so much for your post, pretty helpful information.
